Crime and murder rates declined in the United States’ 30 largest cities, with the murder rate for 2018 projected to be 7.6 percent lower than 2017. — Read more at Vox

Prison Sentencing at Lowest Rate in 20 Years

According to new data from the Department of Justice, the proportion of people being sent to prison in the United States has fallen to its lowest level in 20 years. — Read more at Pew Research
