Financial Coach is excited to announce our 7th Annual Client Appreciation Golf Outing. Dust off your spikes, knock the rust off your clubs, and sharpen-up your short game. It is time to test your skills at a venerable facility in the Greater Philadelphia Area: Downingtown Country Club.
Downingtown Country Club is a 6619 yard, par-72 golf course designed by George Fazio and built between 1965 and 1967. George Fazio, the uncle of modern course architect Tom Fazio, was a runner-up to Ben Hogan in the 1950 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club, and the touring professional out of Pine Valley Golf Club for a number of years. Downingtown Country Club’s layout reflects many of the great features of classic Philadelphia golf courses. With subtle greens, dramatically shaped bunkers, and open, gently rolling fairways, the course is a straightforward, fair test of golf, sure to please all levels of player. We will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. As part of the day\’s festivities we will be conducting a longest drive contest, closest to the pin contest, as well as special prizes for the foursome with the lowest combined score. We will play a Modified Scramble: All players hit a drive. The group selects the “best” drive, and all players play their own ball from that spot to the hole via stroke play. Each player MUST have 2 of their drives used throughout the day.
After golf, we will be hosting the players for a luncheon and refreshments at The Restaurant at Downingtown Country Club. Prizes and good-hearted banter will be exchanged at this time.
